Description of the product "Chicane Descender"

The Petzl Chicane additional brake is an accessory to be able to work with a single rope in pruning or arborist tasks with the Zizag or Zigzag Plus devices.

This accessory provides us with permanent additional braking on the descent, thanks to the two friction axes. Must be used with an Am'D or OK carabiner (not included). The H-profile of these carabiners, combined with the mechanical Prusik clamping bushing, provides excellent clamping of the assembly.

Its ergonomic handle, ease of installation thanks to the side plate make it an easy device to install on the rope and very safe, since it has a triple action release system.

The Chicane allows to work in accordance with the ANSI Z133 standard.
