Description of the "REEVE" product
Combination of two pulleys and a multi-anchor plate, the REEVE displacement pulley is an integrated solution, designed to simplify the installation of zip line rescue systems. Its compact format limits the number of connectors used and the height of the system. The two large diameter sealed ball bearing sheaves provide excellent performance when moving. The multiple connection holes, compatible with the direct passage of ropes, straps and carabiners, allow for better organization.
Features:
- The triple action opening of the movable side plates is quick and easy, even when wearing gloves.
- Two visible red indicators indicate that the movable side plates are not locked.
- The connection holes are compatible with the passage of ropes or tapes for direct connection and easy maneuvering.
- Multiple connections and possible configurations that allow responding to different zip line rescue situations.
- The REEVE pulley can also be used in a hoisting system.

From the design and prototype phases, product reliability and user safety are constantly evaluated, paying special attention to the risks of use.
Petzl has laboratories dedicated to product testing: dynamic tests, impact resistance, fatigue tests, performance, quality of light beams and flashlight autonomy. In addition, the tests in the field test the ergonomics and reliability of use.
