"Volt Wind International" product description
The Petzl Volt Wind International Version fall arrest and work harness is specially designed for work in the wind sector. It incorporates protections at the level of the waist and the dorsal point to limit wear during movements inside the wind turbine tower.
It is easy to put on thanks to the Fast Lt Plus automatic buckles that allow you to do it without having to lift your feet off the ground. The light and breathable construction offers very good ventilation. The wide, semi-rigid waistbelt and leg loops provide excellent support.
In each strap it incorporates a system to store the MGO connectors of the fall arrest lanyards. In the event of a fall, this system allows the absorber to be deployed by releasing the MGO connectors.

Petzl is a family business that, over time, has become the largest European manufacturer of personal protective equipment for those who evolve sporting or professionally in the vertical world and in the dark.
Petzl, a passion business that is part of the continuity and transmission of this human adventure, with the sole mission of creating value for the user. Petzl's story begins in the 1930s and we introduce it to you below.
Fernand Petzl, passionate caverist and ingenious craftsman, imagines in his workshop tools to explore the depths. In 1968, the inventor markets his first products and founds Petzl in 1970.
For several decades, Petzl has provided a stable environment conducive to innovation and industrial excellence. This same path is what the new generation wants to follow, ready to continue the adventure.
Petzl develops its designs and projects based on pillars and values that motivate them.
For 50 years, four pillars have guided Petzl. Four fundamental values that motivate all its decisions and that are exposed:
Continue to be a stable family business.
Foster the pioneering spirit to imagine the best solutions
Guarantee industrial excellence with a goal of zero defects and be close to our communities by informing about good practices throughout the world for greater safety.
Petzl is aware of its responsibility towards the user who entrusts his life to its devices. That is why Petzl develops, analyzes and qualifies all its products beyond the required standards and norms. Its design center, based in France, integrates all areas related to product design: mechanics, textiles, electronics, optics and computing. From the design and prototype phases, product reliability and user safety are constantly evaluated, paying special attention to the risks of use.
Petzl has laboratories dedicated to product testing: dynamic tests, impact resistance, fatigue tests, performance, quality of light beams and flashlight autonomy. In addition, the tests in the field test the ergonomics and reliability of use.
Do you need a device to work at heights? trust experts, trust PETZL.
Where to use safety harnesses?Harnesses are essential personal protection elements for workers who perform work at heights or in vertical work. In particular, they are widely used in construction work, building maintenance, electrical installations, telecommunications, roof repair, glass and facade cleaning work, forestry work, among others. In addition, harnesses are essential for work on lifting platforms, bridges and telecommunication towers, wind turbines, wind farm maintenance and metal structures. In all these jobs, the use of harnesses guarantees the safety of workers, avoiding falls and serious injuries. Harnesses are also used in sports activities such as climbing, caving or base jumping. In summary, harnesses are essential personal protection equipment to guarantee safety in any work at height or in confined spaces.
What kind of harnesses do we have at SWTH Ingeniería?There are different types of harnesses depending on the type of activity or occupational hazard that must be faced.
Among the main types of harnesses are full body harnesses, which are the most common and are used for most jobs in height. There are also safety harnesses with a lumbar belt for vertical lifting and lowering work.
On the other hand, fall arrest harnesses are essential for work at heights where there is a risk of falling. These harnesses are complemented with other protection elements such as life lines or energy absorbers.
Likewise, rescue harnesses are used in emergency situations and rescue, in order to secure the worker and facilitate their evacuation.
Finally, restraint or positioning harnesses are used in jobs that require limited mobility, such as welding or maintenance jobs. These harnesses provide greater stability and control of the worker's body.
In conclusion, the different types of harnesses are fundamental tools to guarantee the safety of workers in different types of work at heights or confined spaces. It is important to select the appropriate harness according to the activity or occupational risk that is going to be carried out.
